Before You Sign:

Surfboards are fragile. Every board leaves our warehouse in perfect condition, but transport damage can happen.
Inspect your delivery with the driver present.

At the Door: Your Options

  • If a box looks heavily damaged, you can refuse that package.
  • If you accept the delivery, write any visible issues on the driver’s receipt (e.g. “Box crushed on nose”, “Hole on side”, “Box open”).
  • Do not sign without comments if you notice damage. Claims may be rejected once signed clean.

Step-by-Step

  1. Count your boxes. Confirm the number of packages/boards matches the delivery note.
  2. Check packaging with the driver. Look for dents, holes, crushed corners, open seams, wet spots, or impact marks. Note issues on the receipt.
  3. Take photos before opening. Photograph all sides of the box, the shipping label, and any visible damage.
  4. Open carefully. Use a small cutter/scissors; avoid deep cuts to protect the board and packing.
  5. Inspect the board. Check nose, tail, rails, deck, bottom, and fin boxes for cracks or pressure marks.
  6. Find accessories. Fins (if included) are usually in a small box inside the main carton. Double-check before binning any packaging.

- Take clear photos of the damage, the inner packing, the outer box, and the label.

- Email europe@samplenco.com within 24 hours with photos, your order number, and the annotated delivery receipt.

Tip: Don’t let the driver leave before you’ve checked the boxes. You’re entitled to a quick inspection.
