Radius 5’9 X 18 3/8 2 1/4 - 24,3L - Round Tail - FCS2 Tri Fin

The 2018 Radius is the latest incarnation of our top high performance design, the Bastard, John John Florence's go-to board during his run at the World Title in 2016.

The Radius is the evolution of our high-performance model, the Bastard, originally developed as John John Florence’s preferred board during his first World Title campaign.

Jon Pyzel and John John Florence have continued refining the design, resulting in a board that not only remains a favorite for John John, but was also selected by Jordy Smith as his top choice and named the winner of the STAB IN THE DARK event.

Built for speed and a loose feel in medium to great surf conditions, the Radius features a smooth medium/high bottom rocker that promotes effortless turning, combined with a single concave for added lift and drive. A subtle hip in the outline enhances responsiveness while maintaining drive through turns.

It has proven itself across a wide range of waves, from the beach breaks of Rio and France, to the point breaks of J-Bay and Trestles, as well as the reef setups of the South Pacific and Indonesia. It performs best on waves with a defined face and continues to excel as power and size increase.

As one of the most performance-driven designs in the range, the Radius is not intended for beginners. For surfers aiming to push their performance to the next level, it delivers the speed, control, and sensitivity needed to progress.
