Mini Padillac - image complémentaire

The Mini Padillac is designed for surfers looking for a stable, easy-to-ride step-up board that combines efficient paddling, speed, and maneuverability. Built for early wave entry, it also performs confidently in steeper, more curved wave faces and late take-offs. For some riders, it can easily serve as an all-around daily board.

Derived from the original Padillac shape, the Mini Padillac features a refined front section adapted to suit a wider range of wave conditions. The nose profile has been narrowed and enhanced with additional nose rocker to improve fit in tighter, more curved waves. While the rear half retains the proven characteristics of the original design, the updated forward section delivers improved control and smoother handling on later drops.

Extra foam remains concentrated beneath the chest area to support paddling power and wave-catching ability. A rolled deck curve and refined, thinner rails conceal the board’s volume while maximizing responsiveness, speed, and sensitivity. Despite its generous foam distribution, a 2 ¾ inch thick Mini Padillac maintains the compact feel of a much thinner shortboard.

The rocker features a long, continuous curve, promoting fluid rail-to-rail transitions and reliable performance through committed turns. The bottom contour combines a subtle Vee with double concave, flowing into a light flat Vee through the fin area and tail. This configuration balances looseness, speed, stability, and drive. A swallow tail enhances acceleration out of bottom turns while adding pivot and precision through top turns.

Unlike the original Padillac, the Mini Padillac incorporates a 5-fin setup, offering multiple fin configuration options to adapt performance to different surf conditions and personal preferences.

The MP can be ridden across a broad size range, with dimensions typically favoring approximately ½ to 1 inch additional width and at least ⅜ inch more thickness compared to a standard daily driver. Foam remains a key element of the design, with substantial volume strategically integrated throughout the board.
